Walk in the Footsteps of Freethinkers:
Birmingham Humanists and Humanist Heritage have joined forces for this guided walk through Birmingham’s radical past. This two-mile journey explores the lives and legacies of the city’s secular pioneers—thinkers, writers, scientists, and activists—who challenged convention and shaped a more inclusive future.
Starting in Brindley Place and ending at Key Hill Cemetery, we’ll uncover stories of courage, community, and conviction. Whether you’re a history enthusiast, a curious local, or simply keen to explore Birmingham through a humanist lens, this walk offers a fresh perspective on the city’s rich heritage.
