We warmly invite you to join us this September for Birmingham’s Heritage Week to celebrate our cities role through time in shaping humanism as we know it today.
Walk in the Footsteps of Freethinkers:
Join Birmingham Humanists and Humanist Heritage for a guided walk through Birmingham’s radical past. This two-mile journey explores the lives and legacies of the city’s secular pioneers—thinkers, writers, scientists, and activists—who challenged convention and shaped a more inclusive future.
Starting at the Ikon Gallery and ending at Key Hill Cemetery, we’ll uncover stories of courage, community, and conviction. Whether you’re a history enthusiast, a curious local, or simply keen to explore Birmingham through a humanist lens, this walk offers a fresh perspective on the city’s rich heritage.
