At a time when our democracy is under attack from the forces of authoritarianism, disinformation and hate speech, humanist values are needed more than ever.

Our discussion will focus on the core idea that democracy relies on the inherent worth of every individual and, our shared responsibility to build a cooperative and, compassionate society.

It will focus on our shared civic values of respect, responsibility, participation, equality and justice, rather than political ideology, in a spirit of open and inclusive debate.

📍 Location & Accessibility:

The venue is Stirchley Baths on the corner of Bournville Lane and Hazelwell Street.

• Car: There is a car park at the rear of the building.

• Train: Just a short walk (500m) from Bournville train station.

• Bus: The nearest bus stop is outside the British Oak pub, about 100m away.

• Accessibility: The car park has two accessible parking spaces and there is step-free access to the building from the car park, via the cafe.

• Workshop end: 21.00

• Refreshments, chat and finish by: 21:30
